The album confronts themes of futurelessness, climate disaster, economic turmoil, and anxiety. Over ten tracks, Under a Birdless Sky moves from shoegaze to ambient electronic, blown-out footwork to jazz. It draws from sources as diverse as Talk Talk, Kate Bush, Radiohead, and Scott Walker.
